"Where there is love there is life."

Hi!  Welcome to the first blog post of Life is Love Wellness!

I'd like to start by introducing where the idea for the name of my business came from.

During my education at IIN, I received tons of vital information about dietary theories and concepts. But the thing that stuck out the most to me, and a reason why IIN refers to it as Primary Food, was the idea that what we consume off the plate is so much more important than the food on our plate.  If you think about it, it makes a lot of sense.

Primary Food is the food that nourishes us emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. It's the things that we consume every day; our relationships, our career, our finances, our home environment, and so on. If one or more of these things are lacking, we as a whole suffer. The flip to that coin is, when we're rich in Primary Food, Secondary Food (the food we consume) becomes unimportant. Let me explain.

I want you to think back to when you were a kid and you'd be outside playing with the neighborhood children. Your mom would call you in for dinner, but you didn't want to come in because you "weren't hungry". Were you really not hungry, or were you so engrossed in fun that you didn't care about it being dinner time?

Now, the purpose of this example is not to promote starvation! We have to eat! But what we eat, and why we eat, can change based off of what we are consuming off the plate.

I believe that if we fill each of these areas with love, the result is a healthier and happier life. We should love who we spend our time with. We should love the work that we do. We should love the place that we call home.

Furthermore, I believe in the ripple effect. If an individual is leading a healthy and happy life full of love, that trickles into the community, which ultimately leads to a healthier, happier, and kinder world. And isn't that what we all want? After all, life is love. And "where there is love there is life."

My intentions with this blog are to share personal stories of my own health journey; from trying different recipes, to different workouts, to go behind the scenes and share what I'm learning about, and to also share mine and my husband's fertility journey.

I hope you'll join me on my crusade, whether it's signing up for my 6 month program or simply enjoying what I share on this blog. Cheers to health and happiness!

With love and gratitude,

Amanda
